Description
Riding Into the Unknown is a bold, expressive painting about courage, hope, and choosing to create in uncertain times. A horse and rider move forward through a layered landscape, guided by birds and instinct rather than certainty.
Painted as the final piece in my 31 in 31 daily painting practice, this work reflects a month of showing up, trusting the process, and resisting the pull to make only what feels safe or marketable. The marks are loose, intentional, and human—built through layers, drips, and oil pastel lines that echo motion and resolve.
This painting is about movement, resistance, and the quiet power of continuing on.

Please note: All paintings created in the 2026 31 in 31 will be featured in our gallery exhibition on February 21 and will not be available for shipping or pickup until after the close of the show.
