I broke my streak. Saturday was full to the brim. I didn’t even pick up a brush. Sunday was less busy, and I did paint but couldn’t quite get it where I wanted it to be. On Monday mornings the gym is more crowded than it usually is, and I’d imagine the studios of daily painters likewise seem to fill up on Monday. Monday is the chance to start again. A new streak.
I was riding my bike a couple days ago and saw a robin. Knew I had to give it a go. This one was a little more difficult than my other birds because it didn’t have a strong shape. A little blob of a bird. I had to rely on color and brushstroke to get me through it, but I’m happy with the result.
I’m dedicating most of May to commissions, BUT I’m going to try to keep a painting a day (or at least a painting almost every day) going.
