Today’s painting was a commission I did for a family. It’s part one of a three part series that involves an important tree in their lives. I did a painting of each of the children in the tree and one of the tree by itself in all of its glory.
I don’t usually include any commissions in my daily painting series. It’s some rule I’ve developed for myself– your daily paintings HAVE to be your own visions or the they don’t count. But I’m knee-deep in boxes moving, home-schooling an unruly child, and feeling a little rebellious. Who knows, I might break my rule for the rest of the week. And the greek yogurt in my fridge recently expired so who knows where this will lead.
Hope you all are staying sane and breaking a few rules to keep yourself that way from time to time.
