I’m really loving working on these little birds every day. At the end of the painting, I run a clean brush against a few of the edges. I want to blur the lines and erase a little. It’s interesting to decide what stays crisp and what should get lost. I want the paintings to be at once about the little bird and also about paint itself. I’m trying to leave reminders that it is indeed made of paint, which, like the birds, behaves in some pretty interesting ways.
