“Watch Your Back” 4×4, oil on canvas, $80.00
When I started this painting-a-day practice at the start of the coronavirus shut-down, I had no real plan for what I would paint or how many days it would be. All I knew was that in a world with so much beyond my control, I had to paint. And I had to paint routinely and passionately.
Daily painting gives me the ritual and structure I need to make that happen. Art heals. Of that I am even more certain. But now, 37 days later, I’m wondering where to go from here. Should I keep going? Should I take a pause. What do you think?
