There have been days in the last few years where I’ve been able to work to live music– my fiancé practicing classical guitar in the next room. Today is one of those days.
There is a joy to it that I can’t quite describe, but, there’s no harm in trying. It’s not unlike being a kid in a tree when the tree (whether its big or small) feels like your whole adventurous world.
Today’s painting is part of the three part commission I shared yesterday. Painting sweet little human faces with a knife is a challenge, but when I let go just a little, the results can be rewarding.
