Pelicans– the birds I used to watch before I watched birds. Persistent little things. I suppose all fishers have to be if they want to survive.
Persistence is what 31 in 31 is all about after all– getting after it whether or not the desire is there. Funny thing is that it usually shows up after the work has begun and not before. It’s the same for me with running, and I imagine most things that are good for us. Shaking off the dust is the harder part. Finding my stride is harder than letting it carry me someplace.
I chose a pelican today because my fellow 31 dayer, Myra, has been posting beautiful photos of them lately, and I see a little of her in their gentle strength.
