Description
A second line band fills the street in Play On, with brass instruments, musicians in motion, and the unmistakable energy of a New Orleans celebration. Lavender and blue move through the background while black, white, gold, and flashes of pink build the figures in thick, expressive palette-knife strokes.
Play On celebrates the music, movement, and communal spirit of the second line tradition. The musicians seem to move right through the painting, capturing that particular kind of joy that happens when the music leaves the stage, spills into the street, and carries everyone along with it.
