Thinking about this robin again. Revisited it. More texture, text. Still a little surprised that I’ve turned into a bird watcher. My great grandmother had a clock with a different bird on each of the hours. The clock would make that bird’s call at the top of each hour. I think it was a 90s version of “as seen on TV”, and I never much cared for it. I thought it a silly gadget the elderly seem to treasure. And now I can’t stop thinking about birds, looking at them and for them. Thinking of my great grandmother sitting in her recliner watching the time pass to the synthetic sounds of birds.
