Another heron. Yep. Yesterday, I said I was working on several paintings. Most of them are of this bird– my current obsession.
What you don’t know is that I’m using this bird to try some new things. On this canvas, I used a thick primer first; the paint went on smoother, more glossy. I didn’t start with a cad red wash as I normally do. Unlike the painting two days ago, the strokes are less distinct, less rigid.
I’m playing. I’m having fun.
