This is my second go at Mr. John’s roses on another relatively large canvas. I used the palette knife instead of the brush and abstracted them just a bit more than I did in round one.
After the first rose painting and then yesterday’s portrait I’m a little conflicted. A week ago I was ready to throw away my brushes and call myself a palette knife painter, but now I’m kinda liking the brush, wanting to go back to it for a few paintings. Perhaps I just like the change? I won’t be throwing away anything any time soon. Let me know what you think? Palette knife or brush?
