family portrait by Denise Hopkins

24×36 oil on canvas SOLD

This one is a large commissioned piece I had been putting off and putting off. But once I started, it was joyful. Once I committed to just starting, just spending time on it, it came easily. I loved painting this beautiful family.

It’s hard to believe that someone with enough discipline to do a painting every day for 100 days struggles with procrastination. But I do.

I might have a few more strokes left on this one, but I’ll be getting to it sooner rather than later.

New goal: Just do it!
