I’ve got to admit it: doing a painting a day for 100 days hasn’t been all that hard. Until now. Finish line in view and somehow what’s become a happy routine is now drudgery.

Today’s pelican painting was an attempt to recreate one of my smaller pieces on a larger scale. I prefer the smaller one (Day 71) which I painted quickly and effortlessly.

What I’m looking forward to most is a day of rest. Which is why this pelican isn’t flying but sitting. Lucky guy.
