Description
The Bud Stands for All Things brings together a woman in profile, birds in flight, roses, and layered botanical forms in a quiet, dreamlike composition.
The painting was inspired by Galway Kinnell’s poem Saint Francis and the Sow and its image of “reteaching a thing its loveliness.” The surrounding plants and flowers were chosen for their associations with healing and restoration, giving the piece an added layer of meaning beneath its soft greens, orange blooms, and expressive palette-knife texture.
